Terrell Herring has been President of Commercial Operations for Mission Pharmacal Company since January 2010. For the past 60 years, Mission Pharmacal has built a reputation for using high-quality materials to manufacture effective pharmaceutical products. The company develops and manufactures a diverse range of pharmaceuticals, including products that aid in prenatal nutrition, treat parasitic and bacterial infections, prevent kidney stone recurrence, and relieve arthritis and muscle pain. Terrell Herring leads Mission Pharmacal in its ongoing growth and continued commitment to providing innovative, well-researched over-the-counter and prescription products.
Prior to assuming his role at Mission Pharmacal, Terrell Herring served as President and Chief Operating Officer of inVentiv Health, Inc. He joined inVentiv as a National Business Director in 1999 and rose to become Vice President and General Manager of Sales before his appointment as President in 2007. Before undertaking his roles at inVentiv, Terrell Herring worked for Noven Pharmaceuticals, Inc., known for developing transdermal prescription products for women. As Senior National Sales Director, Mr. Herring established the company’s first sales force.
Terrell Herring has held key roles in other pharmaceutical firms. At Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Herring served as a Regional Business Director, Director of Training and Development, Director of Operations and Trade Affairs, and Director of Customer Marketing. Earlier, he served in a variety of capacities at Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceuticals, including Training Manager, Hospital Sales Manager, and Trade Relations Manager.
Terrell Herring graduated magna cum laude from The Citadel, where he earned a B.S. in Biology. He went on to attend Mercer University School of Engineering, where he received a graduate certificate in project design. He also received a graduate certificate in international marketing from Duke University and London Business School. Among other professional honors, Terrell Herring was named one of PharmaVOICE’s 100 most inspiring people in 2007 and 2008.
